The Noongar Land Enterprise Group (NLE) is seeking to employ a Contract Manager to manage and grow our land restoration/carbon seedlings contracts and to manage and grow our landcare projects with the Main Roads Department and other clients.

NLE's Boola Boornap native tree nursery is located near Northam. This position will be required to be based out of our Boola Boornap native tree nursery minimum 3 days per week (preferably full-time).

Purpose Of The Position

The Boola Boornap Contracts Manager is responsible for the management of the NLE Boola Boornap Tree Nursery and other Landcare projects/activities as directed.

The Business

NLE is Australia's first Aboriginal Grower Groups, and through collective strength is focused on inspiring, educating and assisting Aboriginal (Noongar) people, in South West Australia, to develop land based business enterprises such as Land Restoration & Carbon & Landcare Projects, Bush Foods, Bee Keeping and Tourism and other enterprise opportunities. NLE is a not-for-profit organisation and currently represents 8 Aboriginal landholding groups covering 20,000 hectares.

In late 2020 NLE purchased a Tree Farm Nursery near Northam. The Tree Farm Nursery (now called Boola Boornap) is a key acquisition of NLE and critical to NLE's growth and its ongoing environmental and caring for country aspirations. Boola Boornap also operates a number of landcare contracts with Main Roads WA and is seeking to extend the landcare projects/contracts undertaken both with Main Roads WA and more broadly.
