Are you passionate about biodiversity and biosecurity and looking to make a difference within your local community?

Position Overview: The position of Program Coordinator, Natural Landscapes is primarily responsible for leading a team of seven biosecurity and biodiversity officers in delivering compliance with enhancing the natural and built character of Queanbeyan-Palerang.

This includes involvement in native species and conservation works, land management and biosecurity education, biodiversity survey and management planning, biosecurity weed control on Council land, pest animal management and catchment plans.

Who we are looking for: Council is seeking a passionate individual who is proficient in leadership and capable of delivering educational initiatives to residents of Queanbeyan-Palerang on biodiversity and biosecurity. The successful candidate will also have relevant qualifications in biodiversity/biosecurity along with extensive working knowledge in this field.

Working with us: The successful candidate will also be joining QPRC during an exciting time of significant economic development with numerous major projects planned and ongoing within the local government area. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to observe the output of their work within the community.
