$107,448 - $116,936 p.a. pro-rata (PO4). Part-time.



The Principal Advisor, Restoration (Coorong) is responsible for providing leadership in the provision of scientific advice and to develop the strategic direction of complimentary actions delivering Healthy Coorong Healthy Basin program outcomes. The role will ensure a strong scientific evidence base is used to inform the development of a strategy to restore critical functions of the Coorong as an important component of the Coorong, Lower Lakes Ramsar site, a site of national environmental significance. Direct technical leadership, advice and coordination of expert input will be essential to the development and maintenance of an adaptive evidence-based restoration strategy delivering whole of system recovery and long term maintenance of the Coorong and associated ecological communities.


Up to 31 January 2023. Part-time, 30 hours per week.

Essential Qualifications

A degree in the Science in related to natural resource management, restoration of degraded coastal/aquatic/marine ecosystems or ecological function discipline is essential. Postgraduate qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent on the job experience are required.

Special Conditions:

  • Intrastate and interstate travel including overnight absences may be required.
  • Will be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • Out of hours work may be required.
  • Must hold a current drivers licence.
