Maffra and Districts Landcare Network supports landcare activities across 75,000 hectares in the catchment of RAMSAR-listed Lake Wellington. This diverse area includes parts of the Victorian Alps, remnants of the critically endangered Gippsland Red Gum Grassy Woodlands and associated Grasslands and the highly productive Macalister Irrigation District.

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Community Landcare Facilitator with excellent community engagement skills to join our team.

The facilitator will support groups within our Network to undertake works to protect, restore and enhance the natural environment.

This position requires excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships, to demonstrate initiative and work independently.

Experience in natural resource management and a sound understanding of Landcare and/or field based environmental volunteer groups is required.

The position will be 0.37 FTE (14 hours/week) with an immediate start.
