Natural Area Consulting Management Services (Natural Area) are currently taking applications for Environmental Field Technician positions within our Field Team. These positions are entry level graduate roles based at one of our three depots in Malaga, Whiteman and Beeliar. Natural Area is a wholly Western Australian owned and operated company focused on providing on-ground environmental management as well as consulting to all types of clients including local government, mining and resource sectors, private companies, property developers, private landowners and community groups.

Our Environmental Field Technicians are part of a diverse team that primarily deliver weed control, revegetation, erosion control and various other on-ground environmental works to clients throughout Perth.

Are you a good fit for Natural Area? The answer is Yes, if you meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Completed or currently studying RELEVANT Environmental Science/Conservation qualification from University or TAFE.
  • Available to work 5 full workdays per week (7am to 3:30pm).
  • Own reliable personal transport (not public) and manual WA Drivers Licence (C class or higher).
  • Knowledge of and ability to identify Perth bushland plants and weeds.
  • Knowledge of weed control and native revegetation planting techniques.
  • Experience with small motors (chainsaw/brushcutter) and using 2-stroke fuel.
  • Attention to detail, genuine care and passion for native environments.
  • Physically fit, self-motivated and able to function in a team environment.
  • Reliable, with a good sense of humour.
  • Currently living in WA and Australian resident/citizen.

The following specific personal licences and qualifications are required for employment. If candidates do not currently hold these licences, they will need to be completed within a given time frame after commencing employment:

  • Health Department of WA Pesticide Licence.
  • Manual WA Drivers Licence: C class or higher required.
  • Current First Aid (and CPR) certificate with 12 months validity.
  • Chainsaw certification.
  • Police clearance.
  • White Card.

Part of the recruitment process may be a pre-employment functional assessment to determine final suitability. We have a no-tolerance drug and alcohol policy (with random testing). Salary is negotiated based upon qualifications and experience, initially the positions are Graduate Positions.
