Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary is a privately owned Wildlife Sanctuary located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, South Australia.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced zookeeper to join our small team.

The successful applicant will possess a dynamic, gregarious, and engaging personality that enables them to captivate an audience through their confident and knowledgeable public speaking. Wildlife presentations and private animal encounters form a large part of this full time role.

We are looking for an outgoing (quirky), confident person with the ability to communicate. Applicants must have some knowledge of Australian wildlife and have animal handling experience. Experience in customer service will also be highly regarded.

You'll be working with a variety of animals including Dingoes, Raptors, Snakes, Lizards, Birds, Possums….

• Minimum of two years experience working in the animal husbandry industry.
• Ability to be flexible and work within a small team.
• Animal husbandry knowledge.
• Experience working with Australian Native animals.
• Cert 3 in captive animal management or equivalent or working towards similar.
• Great work ethic.
• Excellent customer service and presentation skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Manual drivers licence a must.
• Be willing to work every weekend and public holidays.
