Are you looking for a new & exciting career or a specialised technical career, working outdoors monitoring our environment. We have a role that is physical, creative, technical and involves collection of Environmental data of our Surface & Groundwaters.

We are seeking a Technical Officer to support in the delivery of environmental monitoring & field sampling support on ground & surface water compliance monitoring programs.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with the skills to perform groundwater measurement and water quality sampling as well as stream data information, download and calibrate monitoring instrumentation, and capable of completing minor reporting.

Applications are also open to those with limited experience but have a can-do attitude & a desire to follow a career in Water & is also a great opportunity for recent Geology graduate.

This role is based in Mildura, VIC with ability to travel and stay away at other locations in Northern & Western, VIC is also required.

Duties include:

• Undertaking environmental data collection activities for potentially both ground & surface waters.
• Field water quality sample collection.
• Report creating and tracking & assisting with reporting updates.
• Servicing, calibrating, and maintaining onsite monitoring equipment and associated sensors.
• Undertaking maintenance and new works installations.
• Observing maintenance needs at respective sites and ensuring works are appropriately scheduled into the work program.

About you

• Some Industry experience 1-2 years is preferable in Groundwater and or Surface water monitoring.
• Desirable but not essential Qualifications in a field of Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, hydrography, or other similar fields.
• Environmental monitoring experience in waters.
• Knowledge in Data management.
• A First Aid certificate and white/red card.
