The Ranger (Kaurna) works to conserve nature and cultural heritage, welcome and educate visitors and contribute to park maintenance and presentation.

Contract: Ongoing position.

Special conditions:

Eligibility for this role is restricted to people who are eligible to be a member of the Kaurna Yerta Aboriginal Corporation or recognised as a Native Title Holder for the Kaurna area under exemptions s56(2) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 and s8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975.

  • Will be required to participate in emergency operations.
  • Will be required to undertake a medical and fitness assessment for a Fire Fighting Role Classification.
  • May be required to participate in an 'on-call' roster.
  • May be required to work some weekends, public holidays.
  • May be required to work from any location.
  • Will be required to wear a uniform.
  • Current class 'C' driver's license and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is essential.
  • Intra and inter-state travel is required.
  • A current Provide First Aid Certificate is desirable.
  • A Working with Children Check is essential.
  • A current National Police Clearance is essential.
