Position overview

We are currently looking for a full time Sustainability Officer to join our small Sustainability team! If you are a passionate about Sustainability, this could be the position for you. This position will be required to create and implement a monitoring and evaluating plan to run alongside our Environmental Sustainability Strategy and to provide important contributions to various projects undertaken by the Sustainability team.

What we need from you:

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive relevant workplace experience in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation programs within an organizational setting.
• Demonstrated ability to critically analyze data in order to draw conclusions around past and future performance and make recommendations consistent with organizational and community goals.
• Demonstrated experience in consulting and building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including the general public, community organisations, staff and other statutory authorities.
• Demonstrated understanding of the opportunities and challenges for East Gippsland within the fields of climate change, energy efficiency and water resource use.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• A current, valid Victorian driver's licence.
