Mackay Regional Council have multiple opportunities for experienced Arborists to join our Parks and Environment team.

The team you will join helps ensure our community is safe and can the region's great outdoors. Our Parks team work together to deliver valuable outcomes for Council and the community.

About the role

We have multiple opportunities for experienced and inexperienced Arborists. Using quality, well-maintained, and cutting-edge equipment, the Arborist will perform a range of tasks as part of the Council open space network and provide labouring support to work teams under the direction of the Supervisor or Leading Hand

Regular overtime and a fortnightly RDO provide flexibility and opportunity to spend time with family and exploring the region.

About you

You have a passion for nature and a love of the outdoors. You pride yourself in your work ethic and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. You love a challenge and are passionate about helping keep our community safe.

If you have experience in Arboriculture that's a bonus, but we can always teach you as long as you have the appropriate attitude and technical skillset. We are committed to training and supporting the successful applicants.

You are someone who likes being part of a team, but can work independently, and is committed to providing quality client services.

• Base annual salary from $53,673 + allowance as applicable.
