Balance Enviro Solutions (BES) specialises in the design, construction and management of wetland, riparian and revegetation projects, ecological restoration and aquatic environments.

We are an interesting, progressive workplace with a positive work environment. With a hands-on attitude, no job is too big or too hard, our crew is a strong team of individuals appreciating everyone's diversity. Here at Balance Enviro, we solve problems effectively, we are results-driven, seek different perspectives and most importantly: we support each other.

Our projects are all around the outer suburbs of Melbourne and Greater Geelong regions, our depots are based in Fairfield, Werribee and Geelong, we also have a nursery in Bangholme.

As a Crew Member of the Construction team, you are an integral part of our long-term success. With your own hands, you help establish our construction sites and make them greater and greener. You love to work outdoors and get your hands dirty: preparing soil, laying jute and planting plants will be the main tasks. You have a motivating attitude, you are keen to help your crew members, the site supervisors and project managers to construct our WSUD wetland and revegetation projects.

As with most outdoor work, we are subject to the all extremities of the weather, in winter and in summer. As such, it is important to be able to flourish within the occasionally challenging conditions that our environment provides. You will work in a team setting, so working with others and demonstrating effective communication is crucial to the application of tasks throughout the day.

We are seeking individuals looking to contribute to the construction of native wetlands throughout the outer Melbourne regions and as such individuals who value the environment would likely find meaningful employment and a team in which they can apply themselves. We are seeking individuals looking to learn new skills and grow within the company.

Key selection criteria:

  • Beneficial if you have experience in revegetation works, planting, hand weeding, landscaping, chainsaw work etc.
  • Demonstrated experience as labourer, full-time availability.
  • A good work ethic and being an encouraging/communicative team member are important - as training and development will be given.
  • Most importantly: the willingness to learn and contribute.

Current certificates/licenses are preferred:

  • White Card - required.
  • Covid-19 double-vaccination - required by the Government.
  • Own transport to get to changing worksites throughout the Greater Melbourne area.
  • First Aid training - preferred.
  • ACUP / Chem certification - beneficial.

Mandatory: Valid Covid Vaccination in line with the requirements for government regulations for working on construction sites.
