2022/23 Internship Opportunity

Kimberley Marine Research Station located in Cygnet Bay, Western Australia, is currently recruiting.

3-month positions for the rest of 2022 and the start of 2023. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in pearl aquaculture, current marine research and explore the diverse marine wilderness of the Kimberley, Western Australia.

We are looking for motivated and independent individuals, with a marine biology/marine science or environmental science degree. Interns will be working in a remote location within a small team on a variety of projects, including pearl and oyster research, coral health projects and various other marine research projects, as well as assisting with pearling work when required.

While on site, interns are provided with free single, shared accommodation and meals are provided by the Cygnet Bay Pearls Restaurant. During down time, there is a communal kitchen, an outdoor gym, volleyball, table tennis, regular social activities and access to paddleboards and kayaks.
