The Northern Territory Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security is seeking a Senior Director Ecosystem Management, a senior management role within the Department's Flora and Fauna Division. The position provides strategic direction and leadership to the Ecosystem Management team, a group of highly skilled and motivated staff which undertakes integrated assessments of regional biodiversity values, monitoring to track the health of the Territory's biodiversity, and applied research to address key knowledge gaps. The Senior Director will provide high level advice to the Executive Director, Chief Executive Officer, lead effective engagement with diverse users and stakeholders and develop and maintain research partnerships that contribute to the strategic priorities of the Division.

Suitable applicants will have highly effective leadership skills, demonstrated experience in leading the development and implementation of complex applied research, strong strategic skills and the ability to deliver authoritative, balanced advice in a complex policy environment, and the ability to establish and sustain productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
