Requirement:

Skout Solutions are seeking team members to join the Fire Management Crew for Natural Systems based at the Mornington Peninsula Shire. The roles available are 4 x Fire Management Team Members, (Casual and Full time) along with a Full time 2IC for Fire Management. These roles will carry out Fire management works in bushland areas, reserves and open spaces, as well as being capable to assist the greater Parks and Roadsides team when the need arises.

Casual roster - Monday - Thursday, 30-36 hours per week. Attractive hourly rate of $32.34 per hour, plus Super.)These roles have an opportunity to go permanent.
Full time Roster - Monday to Friday, 38 hour week, fortnightly RDO. Hourly rate of $25.87 per hour, plus Super

Skills and Experience Required:

• Removal of obtruding trees and branches.
• Bushland regeneration.
• Chainsaw use.
• Brush cutting.
• Wood chipper use.
  
  

Skills and Experience Desirable:

• Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Level 2 Work Place First Aid Certification.
• Level 1 Chainsaw Certificate.
• Level 1 Wildfire Certificate (desirable).
• Experience (or trade/tertiary qualification) in natural resource/horticulture management or related field.
• Aptitude for fire management and the environmental industry.
• Experience in bushland regeneration techniques.
