Succession Ecology is a multi-faceted environmental business, providing a broad range of services in ecological consulting and research, landscape scale restoration and native seed supply. We specialise in large-scale management and restoration of arid systems and the production and sale of native seed. Our focus is on finding unique solutions in nature and applying new and innovative techniques to ecosystem management, which sets us apart in the environment industry.

Succession Ecology is expanding in response to market demand and are looking to add Executive roles to join our management team. We are looking for an enthusiastic person interested in joining our team with a focus on culture, values, team building and business growth.

This position requires an experienced Ecologist to join and manage our Ecological consulting team. Our Ecology team works across a broad range of projects including ecosystem recovery, design, management and monitoring, development projects and tailored research programs to support project outcomes. The position will involve field work in locations throughout Australia (typically in SA) and office work based at Edwardstown.

Position:

You will need:

• PhD qualification in Ecology or Environmental Science.
• 15 years + experience in the environment industry.
• A diverse range of experience in the environment industry.
• Extensive research program experience (i.e. ecological surveys, flora and fauna identification, data collection, managing field teams, etc.).
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with extensive experience in data analysing report writing and preparing management plans.
• Project Management experience.
• Advanced botany skills .
• Experience running a team of professional staff using a collaborative approach.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team of professionals.
• Ability to travel and stay away for multiple nights.
• Driver's licence and Four-Wheel Drive Experience.
