  • Ecological condition monitoring.
  • Monitoring ecological responses to management intervention.
  • Mapping ecological values and threats.
  • Threatened species surveys, monitoring and management.
  • Flora and fauna assessments.
  • Vegetation quality assessments.
  • Habitat assessments and mapping.
  • Impact assessment and mitigation.
  • Applied ecological research.

As the successful candidate, you will join our existing GIS team to assist with analysing data and developing spatial solutions to issues, presenting results as cartographic maps, statistics and/or databases, and managing spatial datasets. This is a casual position and would suit a student or recent graduate.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Geomatics, Information Management or a related area.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the use of GIS applications, including products from ESRI, preferably in an ecology-related field.
  • Proficiency with the use of computers and other software for data analyses and report compilation.
  • The ability to work under supervision in a team environment.

Ecology Australia is proud to offer a flexible and supportive work environment. This is a casual position (1-2 days per week), with the potential to turn into a permanent part-time position. Remuneration will be dependent on experience.
