About the Company

This Utilities company are looking for an Environmental Planning Specialist in a newly created role working in the Infrastructure Team. This is a permanent role based in Bendigo with the option to work from home part of the week with some time spent at site.

About the Role

As Environmental Planning Specialist your role will be to provide a range of environmental, planning and engineering services to support the implementation of a wide range of capital and non-capital projects.

Your Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialised professional advice to support project managers and others on environmental issues.
  • Advising on environmental aspects of project contract management.
  • Ensuring environmental issues are adequately addressed throughout project life cycles.
  • Identifying environmental approval requirements and prepare delivery program options for management consideration.
  • Prepare comprehensive project briefs and plans, stakeholder submissions as required.
  • Identification, development and continual improvement of environmental procedures and processes within the team and across the business.
  • Implementation of the businesses Environment and Sustainability Policy through the development and implementation of environmental management programs in response to business needs.
  • Participating constructively in peer reviews and coaching process.

About You

In Order to apply for this role you will have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or Natural Resource Management with working experience of obtaining environmental permits and approvals. You will have detailed knowledge of environmental policy, legislation and regulations.You will be used to building professional relationships with internal and external Stakeholders & have a willingness to learn about other aspects of external approval requirements.
