About the Role
Cultural Heritage Advisor is an operational role that works within the heritage services team at the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (BLCAC) to deliver Aboriginal cultural heritage management in the BLCAC Registered Aboriginal Party (RAP) area and traditional lands. The region is geographically diverse and covers an area from the Werribee River, Port Phillip Bay and West Gippsland The role works closely with other RAPs, traditional owner groups, heritage advisors, public land managers and government bodies in the region to manage and protect Aboriginal cultural heritage.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate an ability to provide strategic advice in relation to complex and culturally sensitive issues. Formal qualifications, or extensive experience in archaeology and cultural heritage management is required for this position. Aboriginal candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
