This role provides a unique opportunity to plan, build, operate and management a diverse range of water, wastewater and gas infrastructure assets within the context of Rottnest Island's unique heritage and environment. Rottnest Island is an internationally recognised, sustainable, must-visit tourism destination.
The existing water and gas infrastructure at Rottnest Island include extraction of saline water (5 boreholes), desalination plant (3 trains, 750 m3/day throughput), storage and distribution of drinking water, wastewater reticulation with pump stations, waste water treatment plant, sprinklers irrigation system fed with treated effluent, gas tanks and reticulation.
The Rottnest Island Authority has advanced plans for the renewal of existing water assets and development of new infrastructure. This role is responsible and accountable for managing existing and proposed water and gas assets, including:
