  • Temporary full-time opportunity 10-12 months, with the possibility of ongoing extension.
  • Location is Royal National Park (Audley) or Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park (Bobbin Head).
  • Salary ranges from $113,343 up to $124,901 plus super plus leave loading.

The NPWS is seeking a customer focused leader to manage Visitor Centre operations and guided tour programs across the busiest and most iconic national parks in Sydney.

About the role

In the role, you will lead the management of NPWS Visitor Centres, guided tour programs and visitor experience functions across Sydney national parks. These visitor experience functions include experience development (leisure, recreation and events); marketing and consumer communications; marketing distribution; and support other visitor services such as volunteering, accommodation, commercial partnerships, commercial tour programs, filming and event management. You will also lead the implementation of NPWS visitor service priorities across Sydney to deliver outstanding customer service, revenue generating programs and exceptional experiences for park visitors.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • Experience in managing visitor service operations and nature-based education, be customer focused and responsive to changing visitor demands to deliver outstanding customer service and exceptional experiences for park visitors.
  • Ability to lead and develop a large diverse team to deliver visitor service priorities, increased public stewardship of national parks and revenue generating programs in a safety-oriented culture will be one of your strong skills.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in the management and delivery of visitor experience strategies and services including experience development, marketing and consumer communications, distribution and delivery of on-the ground visitor services.
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
  • Ability to work after hours, including weekends, as required.
