Council is seeking an experienced project manager with natural environment qualifications to assist with the implementation of its Biodiversity Strategy.

This is an exciting permanent role that oversees a diverse range of projects such as the review of the shire’s Vegetation Protection Overlays, development and implementation of roadside and reserve management plans, Aboriginal heritage assessments, biolinks planning and implementation, coordination of the shire wide biodiversity monitoring program, and various collaborative projects with various government and community stakeholders.

The position requires initiative, a positive attitude, a creative approach to problem solving and excellent written communication skills. The successful candidate will have a passion for achieving long term, landscape scale change, substantial project management experience in a natural environment context, the ability to develop strong partnerships with stakeholders and a commitment to community consultation and collaboration.
