  • Status – Permanent
  • Hours per fortnight - 73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation)


The purpose of the role is to lead bushfire risk assessment and strategic fire management planning for the Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS).

This includes development, implementation and review of strategic and operational risk assessment models and facilitating and educating the uptake of the use of bushfire risk assessment processes to both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

As a result of a risk assessment process the Head of Agency gave consideration to where vaccination is a necessary control to protect the health and safety of workers and the community and therefore it has been determined that prior to appointment to these duties a person to is to provide evidence that they are vaccinated against the disease known as COVID-19.

Desirable Requirements/qualifications:

  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • An ability to pass the PWS medical clearance to participate in incident management teams.
