About the role:

Are you passionate about sustainability and helping people save water and reduce their bills?

Based in Leederville, we have a 12-month fixed term position, however with the possibility of being extended up to 2.5 years. We also are working in the background to secure two more of these positions, so we are using this opportunity to also seek expressions of interest.

In this position, you will be responsible for the delivery of customer facing sustainability / water efficiency projects assisting our customers to manage water loss through leaks. You will be implementing a range of strategic projects and initiatives, communicating sustainability and/or water efficiency knowledge to internal and external stakeholders.

What the role will involve:

  • Joining a proactive and experienced team of water efficiency subject matter experts, to work on projects that interact with residential and non-residential customers in the metropolitan and regional areas. The role will be well supported and supervised by people who understand the role and deliverables.
  • Contributing to the establishment of a new customer facing initiatives including establishing the systems and processes to ensure its efficient delivery and excellent customer experience.
  • Gaining experience in project management and delivery leading to the development, implementation of residential and non-residential demand management initiatives.
  • The ability to conduct post implementation reviews and monitoring to assess and report on the success and benefits gained from initiatives.

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to establish and manage project administration processes.
  • Substantial experience in proactively and confidentially engaging with stakeholders and customer including the ability to negotiate and influence behaviours and solve problems whilst providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience in water efficiency concepts, initiatives, tools and techniques which can be used to reduce water use within the community
