The Carbon Farming Project Manager will work in a small team to develop new projects in Western Australia.

The position would suit someone with excellent communication skills; experience in dealing with rural clients face to face in their environment and over the phone; and skills and confidence in establishing partnerships, winning new business and client engagement.

An understanding of GIS, competence in driving in isolated areas and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also valuable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, and support the assessment, registration and contracting of new projects and clients
  • Establish, liaise, and maintain positive working relationships and engagement with clients.
  • Requesting and delivery of documentation critical to the development and implementation of projects
  • Undertake basic/intermediate QGIS mapping tasks as necessary
  • Develop Climate Friendly presence in WA

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in customer engagement and securing service
  • Understanding of land management and land systems within the Western Australian Pastoral Rangelands
  • Previous experience with Emissions Reduction Fund/Carbon Farming would be advantageous
  • Basic skills in mapping systems like QGIS and/or capacity to quickly upskill
  • Ability to work effectively and autonomously

This role requires regular intrastate travel for fieldwork (approx. 1 week/month) and experience working/travelling in isolated areas using a 4WD.


An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to reflect skills and experience.
