GS LLS is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Land Services Officer (Aboriginal Community Support) to join the Aboriginal Communities team, assisting with and enhancing opportunities for First Nations people in increasing skills and capacity and creating on-Country outcomes within the Greater Sydney region.

Want the basics?

  • Help develop, deliver and support on ground Caring for Country / Natural Resource Management projects
  • Support strengthening relationships between GS LLS and First Nations Peoples
  • Identify opportunities to engage First Nations peoples and businesses
  • Assist with the ongoing enhancement of linkages between First Nations groups and key land managers
  • A current NSW Driver Licence, and capacity to travel essential.

  • Please note: To be eligible for this position applicants must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and accepted in the community as such. Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14(d) of the Antidiscrimination Act 1997.
  • Please also note: NSW Government expects all NSW government sector employees who can be safely vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine to do so.

Additional Information:

A talent pool may be created from this recruitment action for ongoing and temporary roles of the same standard that may become available for filling over the next eighteen months. The successful applicant in this role may be required to undergo a police check, health assessment and other assessments as required.
