$55,315 - $59,503 p.a. (OPS2). Fixed-term, Full-time.



The Ranger in Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park works on one of South Australia's iconic parks to conserve native wildlife and plants, welcome and educate visitors and contribute to park maintenance and presentation. The Ranger also collaborates with conservation partners, volunteers, First Nations groups and other key stakeholders to deliver projects on park. The Ranger participates in emergency operations and fire management activities, including operating and utilising fire equipment.

Full time position to 7 October 2022, based at Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park

Special Conditions:

  • Will be required to participate in emergency operations.
  • Will be required to undertake a medical and fitness assessment for a Fire Fighting Role Classification.
  • May be required to participate in an ‘on-call’ roster.
  • Will be required to work some weekends and public holidays for which a penalty rate will be applied.
  • May be required to work from any location.
  • Will be required to wear a uniform.
  • Current class ‘C’ driver’s license and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is essential.
  • Intra-state travel is required, including extended periods of time away from home and travel in light aircraft.
  • A current Provide First Aid Certificate is desirable.
  • A Working with Children Check is essential.
  • A current National Police Clearance is essential.
