About the role

Location: Nerang

Contract: Permanent - Part-time

We’re always looking out for great people who are motivated to help improve our environment! As a part of our valued team, you’ll be responsible for the on-ground supervision and coordination of Environment field team undertaking Natural Resource Management (NRM) activities including bush regeneration, weed control, revegetation and site assessment.

Provided with this role is a fleet vehicle to be used for transporting participants and equipment to the conservation sites, and a mobile phone.

Key tasks of the Envite Supervisor

  • Supervise, motivate, guide, support and direct the activities, work practices and techniques of an environment field team undertaking environmental restoration and light construction activities, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
  • Undertake site and risk assessments for all sites on which work is to take place.
  • In conjunction with Project Officer / Environment Coordinator, schedule and prioritise work activities and ensure adequate resources and equipment are available for the efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Record, prepare and submit work records and reports as required for funding bodies, Envite Managers and others.

Key skills and experience:

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications and provide answers to the Key Selection Criteria listed below when submitting your application:

  • Formal qualifications and/or relevant experience in Natural Resource Management (NRM), Conservation or Land Management.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in project management, including assessment and planning, to delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Understanding of best practice bush regeneration, landscaping, light construction and nursery techniques, including knowledge of weed control measures and vegetation communities, and plant identification skills.
  • The ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including internal Workways staff and Managers
