Ecology Manager

Newcastle, NSW

Ecology Manager to join the thriving Newcastle office of a national Environmental Consultancy.

This role will suit one of two different profiles:

  • A hungry Senior Ecologist looking to move into Managing an office OR
  • A Principal or tried & tested Manager seeking to place their stamp on a great, successful team that has been left in a really good position for someone to take over.

This role has become available as the Manager has gone on maternity leave but instead of returning to manage the team, will come back in a technical capacity to better manage juggling kids with work.

Currently the team sits at 16 in the Newcastle region (predominantly Ecologists with some archaeology, GIS, Planners). The office is on a growth trajectory and the only constraint to growth presently is training enough juniors in time to get the work out the door!

Work consists of:

  • Flora and Fauna Assessments
  • Vegetations Mapping
  • Ecological Impact Assessments
  • BAM Assessments
  • Revegetation Strategies
  • Conservation Advisory Services

Team Culture:

This is a high performing team, however that doesn’t mean they are burning too hard either. They are very good at balancing work and play with their super flexible arrangements.
