Zinfra provides services to the utilities sector including engineering, maintenance, construction and operation services.

About the role:

The Vegetation Assessor is responsible for collecting data relating to vegetation clearances around electrical assets in the Jemena and UE Distribution & Transmission networks. The data collected is critical to informing annual tree clearing and bushfire mitigation programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform all works associated with vegetation inspection programs within timeframes, to budget and in a safe manner as directed.
  • Proficient in the use of digital equipment and software. (digital camera, phone, tablet)
  • Ensuring that all equipment including vehicles, plant and materials are maintained in a clean, well maintained and generally good working order.
  • Provide timely reporting as required on progress of projects, quality standards and work practices as required to both management and its Customers (includes taking photos of defects and structure and system updates).
  • Participate in and be responsible for personal and team members health and safety

About you:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proven technical expertise in arboriculture
  • Knowledge of the electrical Distribution and or Transmission systems
  • Operational exposure to OH&S policies, procedures and systems
  • Formal qualifications in Arboriculture (preferred)
  • Experience in tree assessment desirable.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
