As a Senior Scientist in the Remote Sensing Centre, you will provide scientific and technical leadership in a team of remote sensing scientists who develop and deliver high quality scientific information and advice to support government programs and policy, including Great Barrier Reef protection.

You will be mentoring, energising and influencing a small team of remote sensing scientists and collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver high quality, scientifically defensible products, that includes quantitative and statistical analysis and visualisation of data and results. This will involve developing innovative solutions to deliver mapping and monitoring of land cover, particularly ground cover and fire. 

Your skills in data management, data publishing and web-based data delivery applications will be utilised across the Centre and you will be required to communicate and translate complex scientific information to a range of audiences using a variety of media.
