VicForests is a Victorian State-owned business responsible for the sustainable harvest, regeneration and commercial sale of timber from Victoria's public forests on behalf of the Victorian Government.

Our Operations Team is currently seeking for a proactive individual to join its team based at our Noojee office.

About the role:

Reporting to the Senior Forester, this role contributes to the management of planning, scheduling, risk management, roading, harvesting and coupe regeneration operations in line with legislative requirements and business objectives.

This position would be considered at a Career Level 2 or 3 depending on experience. 

About you:

  • Appropriate qualification in Forestry, Natural Resource Management or a related field.
  • Experience liaising with different contractors.
  • Physical fitness to enable effective completion of field-based work.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Initiative and a proactive “can do” attitude.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to adopt and progress new technology and systems particularly GIS and MS Office.
  • Capable of working independently without supervision.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence with ability to travel.
