Ventia are currently seeking an Experienced Environmental Program Planning Officer to join their team bases in Darwin, NT. The primary purpose of the role is to partner with business and contract leadership to ensure successful contact delivery, management and provide technical support for environmental services across the regions/zones of the Defence Base Services. This role would see you oversee administrative, work oversee and project management activities for the delivery of environmental services across the Northern Territory.

  • Oversee the delivery of environmental works as required under the Estate Maintenance and Operations Services (EMOS) contract with the Department of Defence
  • Schedule environmental works through the Land Management Maintenance Schedule (LMMS) and associated documentation
  • Work with the Regional Manager Environmental Services and other Ventia personnel to develop annual budgets 
  • Oversee simple and complex procurement for sourcing external resources for environmental program delivery
  • Raise, process, track and report on Work Orders through SAP 
  • Raise and manage Purchase Orders through Ariba
  • Maintain oversight of costs and revenue against budget targets via Power BI
  • Liaise with subcontractors and external stakeholders with respect to delivery of environmental works
  • Liaise with the Defence client and customers in relation to delivery of environmental programs
  • Liaise with other Ventia service lines, such as Procurement, Commercial, Safety, and Estate Upkeep in relation to delivery of environmental programs
  • Assist the Regional Manager Environmental Services with regional and national reporting requirements
  • Other duties as determined in consultation with the Regional Manager Environmental Services

It is essential that the incumbent has the following:

  • Qualifications in a business, administrative or project management field
  • Demonstrated experience in a business, administrative or project management role
  • Experience in SAP, Ariba and Microsoft Office Programs highly regarded
  • Sound problem solving, organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work individually and as a member of a team
  • Experience with a variety of specialised finance or planning software, or the demonstrated ability to learn and apply different finance or planning programs
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
