About the role:
With our continued success in the resources and renewable energy sectors, our Queensland Team based in Brisbane are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join our talented team.
In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and assist in delivering innovative environmental assessment, management and conservation planning solutions to our clients. We work across a wide range of interesting projects across the whole of Queensland and inter-state, and on any given day our ecologists can be found undertaking threatened species surveys for national infrastructure projects, tracking small mammals for windfarms, identifying and mapping protected plants and threatened ecological communities and helping clients plan and monitor the success of their rehabilitation works – amongst many other things.
The role will involve ecological surveys and assessments, proposal and report preparation, client liaison, and project and budget management. Additionally, you will work with the Queensland Manager and other senior ecologists and consultants to win and manage projects for the Queensland Team, and Share your Genius as you develop and mentor the team. This role will allow you to combine your passion for ecology and field skills with your environmental assessment and management experience, legislative knowledge, and well-developed writing and project management abilities to create high quality work and great outcomes for the environment and our clients.
