Apply now to join the team at Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) as the Floodplain Approvals Project Officer, taking on the role in the implementation of the Mallee Floodplain strategy, representing Mallee CMA on the State-wide Floodplain Managers Forum, providing advice and support during flood events in our region and managing the delivery of approvals to enhance the natural environment on our floodplains.
Working collaboratively with a team of professionals, you will be responsible for floodplain management and approvals for works to enhance the natural environment. For the right applicant, this role provides scope to forge a career pathway within the business and build long lasting relationships within the environmental management sector.
This position suits an experienced professional who is highly organised and capable of working in a busy and expanding environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and build networks amongst all levels of staff and stakeholders is necessary.
The position requires an appropriate tertiary qualification in town Planning, engineering, environmental management and/or natural resource management or relevant experience in a related field.
The position is available on a full-time basis until June 2024 (extension subject to funding). This role is classified BAND 8 in accordance with the Mallee CMA Enterprise Agreement with a remuneration range of $79,127.70 to $87,383.21 per annum plus superannuation dependent upon skills and experience.
