About the opportunity
This exciting position is responsible for the successful operations of the Vegetation Management Department.
The successful applicant ideally will have experience and a cross section of skills in construction and the environment. The position requires exceptional client engagement skills, business experience, incorporating, managing staff in a team environment, new and ongoing business development, the preparation of project-specific proposals, ongoing financial analysis of the unit, project management and logistics. Leadership qualities, clear communication and the ability to positively influence team culture are essential skills in this role.
The Vegetation Unit Project Coordinator will work closely with the fauna department to collaborate in the management of threatened fauna and flora in relation to vegetation clearing and bulk earthworks. The ability to understand and interpret legislative requirements and then clearly communicate this to clients is critical.
The role would suit an experienced project manager or environmental consultant with a strong business mind, passion for conservation and has a pragmatic approach to environmental management while actively contributing to animal welfare and conservation.
The position is full-time and is based in Townsville with the potential for travel (FIFO/DIDO work).
