National Parks and Wildlife Service has an exciting temporary opportunity to join the NPWS team.
The Team Leader Ranger roles will support delivery of a stimulus funded program that was announced in late 2020 by the NSW Government and help deliver ongoing area-based programs. This stimulus funding – is provided to create jobs and grow the NSW economy.
We are looking for hard-working, reliable individuals who are who are passionate about national parks.
About the role
We’re looking for individuals who are interested in conservation and land management.
With a focus on implementing the stimulus program, this role is also responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the areas team of Rangers to ensure a priority based delivery of quality integrated frontline services through leadership of the team and the fostering of a culture of professionalism and high performance. The role also facilitates the management of natural, historic and Aboriginal heritage on and off reserve.
This strong leadership role will see you being relied upon to comfortably manage a diverse team whilst also building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and identifying opportunities and partnerships to increase community participation and engagement. You will have expert project planning skills and be a natural at juggling and meeting competing priorities.
