This is a hands-on, fast-paced role leading the tree management team in an environment of high-level community interest in tree management decisions in both the public and private domain. You will develop policies & systems that contribute to a sustainable future for the Blue Mountains Urban Forest, including a transition to an asset management framework, with a focus on proactive tree management.

You are a tertiary qualified Arboriculturalist preferably with local government tree management and compliance experience with demonstrated team leadership skills. You will bring your high-level critical thinking, conflict resolution and communication skills to contribute to customer service excellence. Qualifications and/or experience in Environmental Management; and experience in development assessment will be high regarded.

The successful candidate will have the option of entering into a vehicle use agreement (VUA) allowing private use of an allocated vehicle outside of work hours. Private use costs are recovered in a fair and equitable manner.

Salary: commencing at $4,062.66 gross per fortnight.
