Seeding Natives is a registered environmental charity. We are an innovative not for profit organisation that specialises in ecological restoration from the ground up! We believe that restoration starts with a focus on direct seeding the diverse ground layer.

We are seeking casual field technicians to assist with a broad range of duties. It is essential that applicants have a minimum of 1.5 years industry experience in a related field (eg. bushcare, horticulture, agriculture). We anticipate that hours may vary greatly from week to week and will be on an as required basis.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Weed control
  • Direct seeding
  • Seed collecting
  • Seed production
  • Planting

Essential criteria:

  • Hold a current class C drivers license and have own transport
  • Pest technician license (weed control) or Chemcert
  • Basic plant identification skills (natives and weeds)

Desirable:

  • TAFE/Tertiary qualifications in a related field
  • First aid certificate
  • Experience with manual vehicles, trailers and 4wd
  • Experience with tractors and machinery
  • Mechanically minded
  • Hold a medium rigid truck license
  • White card

Our depot is based in Mt Pleasant and the majority of the work is located in the Adelaide Hills and Barossa. However, we do work throughout the state. Applicants must be available to start on short notice.
