The Coastal Marine Ecosystem Research Centre (CMERC) facilitates collaborative research projects focussed on delivering practical outcomes that help maintain and enhance marine and coastal biodiversity, function and heritage, ranging from catchments to the outer Great Barrier Reef.

Located in the Port of Gladstone and within the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area, CMERC is ideally placed to deliver research with global impact.
