Bush Heritage Australia, a national leader in landscape-scale conservation, is seeking a Freshwater and Wetlands Ecologist
Bush Heritage Australia is a national leader in landscape-scale conservation. Independent and evidence-based, we work where we are needed most: in areas of high conservation value with low levels of protection. We protect and help manage 11.3 million hectares of land, providing habitat for over 6700 native species, including at least 226 threatened species. We have two proven approaches to what we do: we carefully select, purchase and manage landscapes of high conservation value; and we work in partnership with others, including Traditional Owners, to achieve conservation outcomes.
About the role:
This busy full-time role requires contribution to the development and review of the Edgbaston Management Plan and lead the development, implementation and review of the Monitoring Plan. You will also be required to lead and implement Edgbaston Aquatic Ecology project, focused on the red-finned blue-eye recovery project, including permitting and approvals processes, on-ground management leading to species recovery, seeking external funds for targeted project work and coordination with captive breeding programs, monitoring and reporting.
