Bushland Field Officer - Local Council

Ku-Ring-Gai Council, Sydney, NSW

Local Council in the Northern suburbs are looking for experienced Labourers to join their Bushland and Conservation teams working to construct and maintain existing bushland walking tracks and weed control works in the beautiful area of Ku-Ring-Gai.

This role is well suited to someone with Landscape Construction certificates, Experienced Parks and Gardens Team Members, Stone Masons, Arborists, Plant operators and University Students

Working on an ongoing casual basis you will be on a 9-day fortnight with Potential Opportunities to join the team on a full-time basis.

To be successful for this role we are looking for combinations of the below:

  • WHS White Card (essential)
  • Familiarity with small plant including Chainsaws, Brush cutters, Ride On Mowers, Hedgers etc.
  • Familiarity with Heavy Plant (Excavators, Bobcats)
  • MR Truck licence (Desired)
  • Physically fit - plenty of manual work involved
  • Chemical application certificate AQF3
  • C Class licence minimum
  • Stone Masonry Experience (Desired!!!)
