Our 2020-2025 Strategic Plan includes a Climate Change and Sustainability Initiative that aims to make ELA an industry leader working with renewables-based energy providers, disaster recovery and resilience, and clients transitioning to a less carbon-intensive economy.

To help achieve this we are seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to work with our technical specialists, clients and the regulators to deliver EISs for renewable energy projects, such as wind and solar farms. 

Key functions of the role include:

• Delivery of environmental assessments for State Significant Renewable Energy projects.
• Working with our clients to understand their projects and needs, and our role in the delivery of their goals.
• Managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, to scope and on budget.

We are seeking people with 7+ years’ experience in:

• Undertaking Environmental Impact Statements and assessments (particularly those of State Significance), including a comprehensive understanding of legislation relevant to these types of projects.
• Managing projects to a high standard, including management of budgets.
• Working with clients and regulators to achieve optimum project outcomes.

You will come to ELA with:

• Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, planning or similar.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with consultants, clients and regulators.
• Current drivers licence.
