$40,320 - $43,804 p.a. Full-time.

  • Full-time, 38 hours / week. Fixed Term - February 2021 until 30 November 2021 (with possibility to extend)
  • Salary range: $40,320.80 to $43,804.80 p/a, dependant upon experience

About us:

Pioneer Catchment & Landcare Group Inc. (PCL) is a not-for-profit organisation, incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981. Working in the Mackay region since the 1990s, PCL was one of the first catchment groups in Queensland, originally formed as the Pioneer Integrated Catchment Management Association (PICMA).

PCL works on natural resource management (NRM) projects within the catchments of the Pioneer Valley, from Alligator Creek in the north to Sandy Creek in the south, and west to the top of the catchment in the Clarke Range.

Your Duties will include:

Undertake on ground bush and coastal rehabilitation activities such as:

  • Revegetation
  • Weed Control
  • Safe operation of equipment and use of tools
  • Manual labour

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated local plant and weed identification (or commitment to learn)
  • Manual drivers licence
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work productively as part of a small team
  • A love of the outdoors and willingness to undertake necessary training to gain further qualifications (e.g. First Aid, ACDC, Cert III Conservation and Land Management).

This is an entry-level position with an opportunity to build skills and qualifications in the natural resource management sector. On the job training and development will be provided to the successful candidate.
