At Habitat Creations our aim is to maintain and enhance biodiversity in a changing landscape. We pride ourselves on collaborative working relationships with our clients delivering conservation and land management services, quality plant propagation in our nurseries, soft landscaping of WSUD assets and project management. We are fortunate to work across a diverse range of urban, peri-urban, rural and remote landscapes in Gippsland and Greater Melbourne.  We have work bases in West Gippsland, Melbourne’s South East and West regions.

With secure contracts and an expanding workload in all our regions, we are seeking suitable candidates to join our field teams. This will initially be a casual position up to five days a week, with opportunity to become ongoing for the right candidate.

We are looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented people for an immediate start. You must be available to work an 8 hour day with start and finishing times varying between 6.30am and 5.00pm, Monday - Friday.

You will be punctual, physically fit, have attention to detail and enjoy working in a team whilst being able to work autonomously when required.

Essential Criteria:

  • AgVet Chemical Users Certification & ACUP
  • Apply First Aid (Level 2)
  • Construction Induction White Card
  • Manual drivers licence

Required Skills/Experience:

  • NRM field work
  • Light Machine Work
  • Chainsaw Work
  • Low/high volume herbicide spraying
  • Woody weed control
  • Tree planting
  • Grasslands work
  • Roadside weed management

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

  • Team leading experience
  • Tertiary qualification in natural resource management, environmental studies, horticulture or similar.
  • Weed and native plant identification skills
  • Experience in native grasslands (West Region)
  • Landscaping Experience
