The City of Whittlesea Parks and Public Spaces
The City of Whittlesea public spaces includes a sprawling open space system of over 2,000 parks, sports and conservation reserves, waterways, urban and rural streetscapes and town centres. The City is home to a diverse City Forest including Metropolitan Melbourne’s largest portfolio of protected Eucalyptus camlendulensis.
Located on the northern edge of metropolitan Melbourne covering an area of approximately 489km2, of which around 70% is rural and 30% urban. The Urban Growth Boundary separates the well-established and developing suburbs to the south, and rural and designated Green Wedge Land to the north.
Across the City, there is also a strong recognition of the Wurundjeri connection to culture, with culture being the interconnection of land, water, vegetation, and fire.

The City of Whittlesea Parks and City Forest Management has been subject of a recent service review aimed at delivering Business Transformation through a high-performing team environment.
This new role is supported by a long-term experienced Tree Maintenance contractor and is responsible for the supervision of all tree maintenance contract processes. Aiming for an explementary Tree Management Service, you build a strong partnership approach with the contractor, whilst overseeing performance monitoring.
You will embed a collegiate approach to achieving continuous improvement, contemporary tree risk management and high-quality customer service.
