Council is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated natural resource management practitioner to help implement ecological restoration works at Hanging Rock Reserve and across Council’s network of bushland and conservation reserves.

The position will work closely with Council’s Bushland Reserves Officer and a team of passionate environment professionals to assist with delivery of Council’s current bushland and conservation reserve management program, focusing on Hanging Rock Reserve and Council’s various small conservation reserves and waterways. The role will maintain and enhance Council’s strong collaborative partnerships with existing stakeholders, including the shire’s active Landcare and Friends groups.

This is a diverse, busy position that involves managing contractors as well as undertaking on-ground works in the field. The position would suite someone who has initiative, enjoys working in a team, is passionate about the natural environment and has demonstrated experience achieving ecological restoration outcomes in collaboration with others.

This is permanent position which is funded as full time until 30 June 2022 and then 4 days per week thereafter. You will be required to hold a current First Aid and CPR certificate as well as be willing to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical and Police checks prior to commencement.
