I am both a qualified Painter and a qualified Ecologist and the core of my business is running a painting and decorating business, I am quite busy with new homes and re-paints. However I do have some ideas on some interesting projects for the future involving building biology and paint additive, paint and safe anti mould/fungi/lichen products that could be developed.

The successful candidate must be willing to work 4 days per week as an apprentice painter and 1 day will be set aside for our other projects.


  • Bachelor of Biology, Ecology, Conservation Biology, Science, Environmental Science or related with 2-4 subjects in chemistry and a strong interest in chemistry and product development.
  • Interest in invertebrate identification and taxonomy
  • interest in mould, fungi, lichen and moss indentification and taxonomy


  • Willing to committ to a 4 year apprenticeship contract
  • Good at working at heights
  • Physically fit and able to climb up and down ladders for multiple days per week
  • Hard working, reliable, own transport, licence and car
  • Willing to go to trade school with other apprentices
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and willing to live in Warrnambool, Port Fairy or Koroit.
