APY Land Management
Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, SA
Working with Anangu and in spectacular country, the Training Coordinator APY Land Management develops and coordinates training, mentoring, leadership and Anangu land management business development.
The role is responsible for the budget management of the training and business development projects. The role also helps coordinate training for other areas of APY.
Through working with the different managers (Anthropology, Pastoral, Land Management and Administration) the role will support the development of a coordinated annual training schedule to ensure effective uses of resources across these programs.
The position works under the guidance of the Land Management Program Manager and implements the annual works program which has been developed from the projects funding the position.
At times you may work in other APY areas. Regular liaison with traditional owners, IPA and Warru Coordinators, ranger and contractors is required.
Note this is a physically demanding role requiring long walks over rugged terrain and may require carrying knapsacks and working in harsh conditions and some camping out. There is also a high percentage of time driving in 4WD vehicles over rugged areas.
