The Role

A rare opportunity for an experienced Senior or Principal Ecologist with a strong background working on major projects to take on a key leadership role based in Sydney. You will be leading a team of high performing ecologists with a focus on mentorship and development.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Identifying new project opportunities.
  • Preparation of technical documentation including proposals and reports.
  • Managing and leading a team of technical staff.
  • Managing and delivering projects on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

  • Degree qualified in Science or related.
  • 10 + years’ experience in ecology
  • 5 -10+ years consulting experience
  • Industry exposure across one or more of the following sectors: transport, infrastructure, renewables mining.
  • Current Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) Accredited Assessor
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth and state legislation
  • Demonstrated project and time management skills
  • Effective stakeholder management skills both internally and externally.
