About our team

Local Land Services (LLS) is an Executive Agency related to the cluster. It provides quality, customer-focused services to landholders and the community across New South Wales. This regionally based organisation brings together a wide range of service and advisory functions including agriculture, biosecurity, natural resource management, land management, biodiversity, emergency services, private native forestry and the Soil Conservation Service.

About the role:

This role delivers front line services to farmers and community that help them manage our landscapes to be healthy and productive. In this role you will be managing natural resource management projects and delivering on-ground incentive works with landholders and other partners across the North Coast region.

You will work as part of with a multidisciplinary team to improve the North Coast environment focusing on improving river health, water quality, biodiversity and native vegetation. Working under the guidance of a Senior Land Services Officer you will be collaborating with a range of stakeholder to build strong working relationships.

About You:

You will be a motivated individual who has excellent project management, communication and interpersonal skills and the capacity to engage with rural landholders, land managers and industry groups.  You will be flexible and adaptable and able to work across all LLS functional areas where required, including agriculture, biosecurity and emergency management.

In this role you will be working with stakeholders to manage forest health adjacent to World Heritage Areas and delivering on-ground incentive works with landholders and other partners in the southern parts of the North Coast region.

Essential requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of agricultural, environmental, natural resource management, biosecurity and emergency management issues
  • Ability and willingness to undertake a police check and medical clearance
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel

A talent pool may be created from this recruitment action for ongoing and temporary roles of the same standard that may become available for filling over the next eighteen months. The successful applicant in this role may be required to undergo a police check, health assessment and other assessments as required.
